Realization

GUY - "I didn't realize the house came with such a lovely view of Venus."

The voice came out of the darkness from the vicinity of the vacation home behind her. It was a rich and rumbling sound; the words were clear, and carried well though they were softly spoken. It gave her a thrill of electric chills that nearly stopped her heart altogether. She turned slowly and stared for a moment into the apparent darkness of the back patio across from her own. There, she could dimly discern the small red ember of a cigarette. Why hadn't she noticed the smell before? Marlboro Red.

GUY -  "Please, don't let me interrupt; I was just going in to sleep.

Suddenly, she wanted to tell him to wait, stay for a while and talk, have a drink... but he was already gone.
